About

What We Do

The Children, Youth & Social Services I+IT Cluster (CYSSC) develops information technology applications to help Ontario deliver high-quality programs to children and families. 

Who we support: 

  • CYSSC works with the Ministry of Children, Community and Social Services (MCCSS) and their agents to provide effective and valuable I+IT advice, solutions and services which help Ontarians in need reach their full potential.

  • We provide leadership, strategic advice and expertise on information technology solutions and services that advance the digital agenda.

  • We maintain and operate information technology solutions that support the business and mandate of the ministry to better serve the people of Ontario.

  • We work closely with partners in the IT enterprise and Ontario Digital Service to deliver on key ministry priorities, while aligning with the overall technology direction of the OPS.

       

CYSSC aligns its structure to deliver on current and future priorities while responding to clients as ONE organization. With the aim to deliver excellent services to our ministry partner, CYSSC is continuously transforming to stay innovative and future ready.

Some of our work includes:

  • Child Protection Information Network (CPIN); a common information system with 3 primary objectives:

    1. Enhance child safety

    2. Reduce administrative burden

    3. Improve CAS management and ministry oversight

  • Social Assistance Management System (SAMS) an I.T. system supporting MCCSS’s delivery of social assistance services.

  • Family Responsibility Case Management System (FCMS) that supports the collections and enforcement activities, computerized filing records and provides case administration support (e.g., supporting processes related to writs of seizure and sale, default hearings, support variation applications, return mail, federal garnishments, review of client payment information etc).
