Nestled between Ottawa and North Bay, the Renfrew County District School Board (RCDSB) is located in the northeastern region of Ontario. Our District follows the Ottawa River on the east and borders Algonquin Park to the southwest, with our southern-most schools in Arnprior, and our northern-most school in Deep River. We have seven secondary schools and 21 elementary schools with an approximate student enrollment of 10,000. Our District aims to be a community of learners where curiosity, creativity, imagination and innovation are celebrated, and where students are encouraged to explore and discover their own pathways to success. The RCDSB is currently expanding our French as a Second Language (FSL) programming District-wide and we are recruiting FSL-qualified teachers who have a strong grasp of the French language in order to fill current and upcoming vacancies. Our District offers English with Core French programming at every site. As part of the FSL program expansion, we will be phasing-in the offering of French Immersion – either Early French Immersion or Middle French Immersion – to one or more site in each family of schools.
